The whatsapp group BR&RA Municipal Services has now been in use for 10 months, and is functioning very well. Any Neighborhood concerns about municipal services, especially urgent issues like water leaks, are being attended to promptly by the Municipality.
If you live in Bathurst or have a business here, please join BR&RA. We need the community's support. See "Membership"
The road safety petition forms signed by the community have been delivered to Ndlambe Traffic for forwarding to Provincial Traffic. We're hoping to persuade Province to install more speed humps on the R67 through the village - Kowie Rd and Trappes St.
The Residents and Ratepayers Association is constituted in order to promote the interests of residents and ratepayers in Bathurst and surrounds. We are also concerned that the rule of law and municipal and other services are maintained and developed.
We also seek to see that a balance between economic activity and village life is fairly maintained and reasonably accessible to all, in so doing preserving and enhancing the nature of Bathurst as a rural village.
The BR&RA is entirely manned by volunteers from the community and relies on the support of other volunteers for the successful completion of projects
A good liaison between the Bathurst Residents and Ratepayers Association and the Ndlambe Municipality is highly desirable.
Provided there is enough community interest, BR&RA will hold an open, informal meeting every second month – 20th January, 17th March, 19th May, 21st July, 15th September – and our AGM again in November, the 17th.
For on-going information on BR&RA activities and other things happening in Bathurst, check our website.
Let us know if there is a topic you’d like explored at one of the 2025 open meetings.
BR&RA committee meetings will be held monthly on Monday 13th January, 10th February, 10th March, 14th April, 12th May, 09th June, 14th July, 11th August, 8th September, 13th October and 10th November 2025.
